Review by hotel critic
I recently spent New Year's at the Gold Coast Hostel in beautiful Antalya, and it truly felt like a hidden gem amidst the bustling old town of Kaleici. While getting there by taxi can be a bit tricky, the hostel's charming location is mere minutes from Hadrian's Gate and the vibrant main bazaar-perfect for those who love to explore on foot like my daughters and I do! The spacious air-conditioned room was a delight, featuring a generous balcony where we enjoyed sipping coffee while taking in the stunning views-definitely a plus for families! The rooftop terrace was the icing on the cake, complete with evening music that created a lively yet cozy atmosphere. It made for a great spot to unwind after a day of adventures, and our daughters particularly loved it. Although the hostel offered a complimentary buffet breakfast that set us up for the day, we also booked the Antalya day tour. I was hoping to connect with other solo travelers, but I found myself among lovely families instead. The jewelry factory stop was a surprise addition, and while it wasn't part of my plan, it made for an interesting experience! Gold Coast Hostel was a fantastic base for my family and me; with its friendly staff, fun vibe, and security, I'd happily recommend it to anyone, young or older, looking to soak in the local culture while enjoying some much-needed downtime. Can't wait for my next escape!
